Summary
A Day of Zen starts with light continental breakfast and a brief orientation. Please be in the zendo no later than 7:45 a.m. All registered participants are welcome to enjoy lunch, which is served at 1:00 p.m.
Please wear comfortable black or dark clothing. It is also helpful to have a pair of slip-on shoes for going in and out of the zendo. You may sit on a meditation cushions or chair, or switch back and forth with each sit. Instructions for meditation and posture are an important part of the Day of Zen. We will also have periods of walking meditation outside, weather permitting, so bring whatever outerwear you need.
Parking is easy at Artspace with our free parking sticker. If it is your first visit, please ask a volunteer for your sticker and immediately place it at the top of your front windshield, on the driver's side. You may park at any time in signed visitor spaces (40-59) at the front of the building, or in the Macaroni Flats parking lot to the south. Towing/booting is strictly enforced for reserved resident parking in the south lot and at the front and back of the building.
