Join Diane Musho Hamilton Sensei for meditation and sangha practice set in the exquisite red rock country of Southern Utah. The Third Treasure: The Practice of Community is a real-time inquiry into the intimacy of sangha and what it means to "be for each other." We will meditate in the mornings and evenings, and in the afternoons, practice skills to strengthen our relationships and grow our capacity for clear, dynamic, and enlivening interactions in the context of a practice community. Outings into the natural beauty of Capitol Reef National Park and other locations will be an essential part of our experience together.
This is an essential Sangha Retreat for all formal students and for anyone who desires to practice in-depth with Diane Musho Hamilton Sensei. This retreat will feature elements of Zen practice and ritual training for senior monks, culminating in the Shuso Hossen (Dharma Combat) ceremony on August 17.
The retreat is from August 8-19. Entry dates are Wednesday August 8 and Sunday, August 12. You must commit to stay through the close on Sunday, August 19.
