Zen Study & Practice, Fall 2019 - A Climate Change Inquiry with Diane Musho Hamilton & Rob McNamara
09/21/2019 - 12/21/2019

Summary

Saturdays, 9:00 - 10:30 MT
Via the Zoom meeting platform
With special guests, Daniel Schmachtenberger, Dr. Zachary Stein, and Deborah McNamara

This 14-week telecourse will confront climate change and the challenges of talking together about it. We will explore the science, the emotions, the strategies, and the peril, and examine our experience based on first person, second person, and third-person perspectives.

Each 90-minute class, we will explore one dimension of the conversation. We will also draw on participants’ experience and expertise including short, informational presentations with opportunities for questions and answers.

Meditation practice will be emphasized, as well as communication skills and compassionate, effective activity regarding our culture and systems, and the need for immediate personal and collective change.

Our hope is that the conversation will be deep, compelling, and broad, and will equip us to better support the conversations about climate that are happening all around us.
